  • Fright Night

It's getting dark now which means the trick and treaters (may be) pouring in!

I've just had a quick shower still in my bath robe so I should get dressed but I could also scare them with that I'm wearing! ;) :))

I haven't seen the TV guide but but there will be a few scary films and things on seeing as it's Halloween!

  • There may be trouble ahead...

As most of you know, tomorrow is Halloween.

When I use to live with my parents Down South in a idillic sleepy town, it felt comfortable and I knew all our neighbours and generally everyone was friendly and got along well. We'd all carve pumpkins every year to welcome the kids and they were never a hassle! I had been living there for almost two decades!

But now I'm living here and have been for a few years, this place is not that safe! It ws okay when we lived in a flat so no-one could enter unless they somehow broke through through the very heavy steel door! But of course we now live in a house which is facing the main road and exposed to any passers by! I have been told from someone we know living nearby, having fireworks stuffed in their letterboxes and egged houses! 8| They are also living the same fear! Even though we had a visitor recently, I still was a little worried he may come back with his mates and pummel our house for being rude to him but luckily that did not happen!

I can't shake this little worry off... U-(

  • Life Quiz - Nicked from Paddy :D

    Your Life, Predicted:
You will get married, and will not divorce. You will have 1 child. You will live for another 40-50 years.
'The Life Predictor Quiz' at QuizGalaxy.com

Err.. 40 odd years is not enough so I will die by 70 which is quite young! 8| Yes, I do have one child although maybe I'd like another one day and have no plans on getting married yet!

  • Hot and Cold

So I woke up at 7am which is a little early for me and was a bit grumpy at first but I'm okay now. Normally I'd be up between 8-9am! Been out and BB went back to bed again so have been catching up on BCUK, armed with a Caffeine Smoothie, a white coffee and Seasame Peanut Noodles as I'm hungry! I don't normally have a cold and hot drink at the same time but I couldn't choose between the two! ;D

And still experiencing problems on BCUK which I thought would have been resolved by now!

And MP has gone back to work now although he had to work for three days last week as they had a deadline and needed his help. Guess he'll never be short of a job!

    Okay I'll stop mumbling now...

  • Trick or Treat

Stupid kid come knocking on my door late at night saying 'Happy Halloween!

    DON'T DO THAT AGAIN UNTIL IT'S THE 31ST! |-|

  • Playing Catch Up

I know I have been gone a few days and now have 38 private posts to read! 8| I've read quite a few and commented on them but still have a lot more to read and write to!

Nevermind that, not much has been happening in my private real-life although I've been busy with my family and been too knackered to come here the past few nights! Plus, instead of blogging during the day I've been reading the Nigella Express cookbook and learnt some of her tricks including brownies, doughnuts and mexican scrambled eggs and want to try out a few more things over the weekend!

And I broke all the nice Coca-Cola glasses so I'm drinking beer out of a wine glass! DOH! :)) Note to self not to go near glass again...

    Erm...

  • Slow Sunday

Nothing much to report apart from we stayed in all day apart from going to the shop for some food. Was quite slow and I ended up having a nap after dinner!

Just trying to relax now and get into sleepy mode again!

Anyone remember JC Chasez's dance song from a few years ago?? (JC was originally from the boyband N*Sync )

  • Busy Saturday

I use YouTube a fair amount - well everytime I get a chance to go on the PC and MP tells me it makes out internet connection crash for some reason!

Been out for the day with my little family and MP got his mum a bay City Rollers calender as she use to like them a lot when she was younger! Of course I was looking at the male calenders *Ahem* especially the Hollyoak hunks one but gutted there wasn't Sylar featured in the Heroes one so I didn't buy it! :**:

And Oh, our boiler broke yesterday morning so we'll have to ring Monday now and it's back to boiling water in the pan and using the kettle heck of a lot! :`(

I know it doesn't sound like much of a day but I have been tired since getting home at 4pm so I should sleep soon!

  • Can't breathe

I just got in tonight and although I can comment on most other people's posts, sometimes it won't me comment on others so I'll try and go back to the others I missed! Am I the only one experiencing this??

In other news, although MP is on a 2 week holiday from work although he;s not really as he still works from home so what's the point! :??: Least he knows his job is safe! B) Anyway, although I like him spending time with us as a family it's also driving me a little nuts! I feel I don't much space! Catch 22 or what!

  • Bedtime tunes

This one is stuck in my head for days now! :|

And for some reason MP doesn't like this song but I do! :))

  • BB's Birthday

Was yesterday and I was so tired from it all! XX(

MP went with us to playgroup and although he was the only man (how very brave to face up to all those women!) He seemed like he enjoyed it!

Came home around lunchtime and prepared for BB's mini party. Played with his new presents with his cousins! :D In the evening he blew out his cake and had some snacks.

So generally a pretty good day! :>>

And Thanks to Meno for the Maple Leaves Hockey Top! It fits and I love it too! ;D Blue is a great colour on him!

  • Say it isn't so!

How come, when I was younger I ended up fancying the gay guy from a boy band!

First it started with Steven from Boyzone around 10 years old (although I stopped fancying him just before he came out - *phew!*) , then Mark from Westlife and I just read Lance from N* Sync is! 8|

Luckily for me this has never applied in real life with my exes! And I know MP is not into men! (Caught him looking at Lucy Pinder's breasts the other week!)

I still don't know whether to laugh or cry! But know I have grown up a lot and not into boy bands anymore although I listen to them occasionally! :))

  • Gone for 2 days...

...and I already have 27 private posts to read and heck of a lot more of public posts!!! I hate to think if I'd been absent longer how much more there would be! 8|

MP went out with his mum and BB to the local shops and I've caught up a bit here although I could of done with another half an hour! :))

Waiting for the British Gas repairman and should be coming before 6pm tonight. MP spoke to someone on the phone and the service contract will cost £37 a month! U-( He says it's alright as if the boiler decides to break down again he'll make the money back from what he pays for a whole year! A one-off repair job will cost almost the same total amount for a year's service contract! :|

    I do miss BCUK! :(

  • Hustle: The Movie

So I've heard! Got me a little excited thinking about it and apparently will also star a topless blonde model called Malene!

    That's it really! :|

    http://www.insomniacmania.com/news_default.php?id=3459

  • Dragon's Den

I cannot believe James Caan is replacing Richard Farley! 8|

I quite liked Richard and read about him buying into a suntan lotion company in The Times a while ago and they were saying he obviously uses the products so every time I see him in the media, I have to giggle if he looks orange! :p MP last heard last week that one of his companies is doing shite so maybe that's why he's not on anymore! :-/

I always thought he had a nice accent and that's about it! :>>

  • British Gas - are they good?

Out boiler decided to stop working yesterday evening just as I was about to do the dishes! >:-( Apparently there is zero pressure so I rang British Gas today and they want me to pay a fee before anyone comes! 88| I said I'll have a think and ring them back to give them bank details! I am worried how much it'll be but looking on the website there is a one off charge of £156 which isn't so bad but still feel nervous about it being more than that!

So for now, I'm boiling water in pans and in the kettle! Good job we still have gas for cooking and hot water for the shower! I need to keep clean and cook (but not at the same time of course!) :p

I've still got to get a few things for BB's birthday and still putting money towards that, determined to give him a great first birthday as he'll never be one again!!! Luckily we got most things already.

  • Number One

From next week for the next two weeks, I won't be online as much as MP has booked two weeks off work seeing as he's not had a holiday in ages and also wants to be there for BB's first birthday next week! :D (That is also why I'm not on in the evenings much to spend some quality family time! :>>)

Although it's only going to be a quiet birthday with just family, I'm still dreading making the cake and organising things! I'm glad MP has brought balloons, banners and a badge so far but he wants me to make a Makka Pakka cake and presents to wrap but firstly, I ust get my arse in gear and tidy the house! :**:

Sheeeeet, just realised forgot to buy invites so something else I got to buy soon!

I feel my head is going to explode thinking about this! :))

  • Biscuit Diet

Lately I've been muching on varieties of biscuits a lot, mainly tea biscuits! If I could I'd eat biscuits all the time but it's not exactly very good for me or my body! :**:

I was planning to save my Sainsbury's Shortbread biscuits which chunks of Belgian Chocolate for another day, but I thought to myself, f**k it, I must have them! :. So I was in the kitchen for the past few minutes sipping on coffee and eating them in peace seeing as BB is asleep! ;)

And I still feel very sleepy although luckily for me I only had to get up once during the night! I'm never going to get a good night's sleep for at least another month as BB sleeps well about once a month, or ever thinking about it!

On coffee number two so far although normally I drink one or none, but I am lethargic today as I've mentioned. Must find something stronger to keep me awake...

  • Lovely Day (so far!)

After two days of dreary looking skies and non-stop rain, it's actually sunny and warm today not to mention blue skies. I was boiling wearing my coat on the way home from playgroup this morning and absolutely starving. I just hope it stays this way!

Came home to cupboards lacking food I fancy and settling for cold Ready Brek. I could go out But I'm pretty tired and cannot be arsed to walk to the shops right now! :lalala:

  • Bringing up Baby

Now BB is 11 months and will be a year old next week, here is a summary of what he can do! :>>

He's moved into his own bedroom as of last weekend and seems to be slowly settling in his new environment.

He's a bum shuffler. He doesn't crawl at all as he hates being on his belly unless on a soft surface for s short period of time. He can walk only with adult assistance by holding his hands. (Just needs to learn to balace to walk independantly!)

He waves and says 'Bye' even to strangers and when we go out in his pram! :D Might be his first word he means as he use to said 'Mum' and 'Dad' repetitively a few months ago!

He can laugh properley now and does it a lot to strangers! :)) I guess he's still stranger aware with adults but kids older than him, he doens't mind! :p

He likes 'In The Night Garden' so we got it on DVD for him and an IgglePiggle toy. Even I am learning to speak their language! 8| :))

And lately I've noticed he cuddles his plush soft toys and cuddles them! He never used to like those toys and just occured one day!

    That's all folks!!!

  • Mundane

Everyone seems a bit miserable here (in my real life) and the weather isn't so great. Looks like it'll rain although it has been like that all day! Damn, and thinking I might need ti get a few things from the local shop!

Me, I'm not so bad myself although I think I burnt the tip of my tongue on my dinner just now! :))

  • Milky Bar Kid

Agghhh it's so hard to feed BB healthy foods! His fave foods include those thin tea biscuits, Skips (crisps) and White Chocolate although he only has those things occasionally or he'll just put on weight and they're not exactly great for a balanced diet! Hardly touched his Brocolli Cheese for lunch today and not eating much cheese or potato! :`(

I'll just have to find other healthy alternatives! Least he ate some roast chicken which is great! :D

  • Maturing

Today was a quiet day with not much happening. My Dad rang and they won't be coming until Christmas which I knew about as he mentioned it before. When I moved out when I was 17, I was glad and free but now wish they lived closer, especially to see BB grow up as they only visit every few months. Funny how things turn around!

  • Oh dear

    I think I'm slighty pissed.

Listening to N* Sync and Backstreet Boys tonight!

Think I better get my coat.

  • Fair play

The most exciting thing that happened today was going to the Fair which I like to think I'd go to it once a year although last year I was less than two weeks due of having my baby, so did not take that risk! ;)

Anyway, we set off after 4pm so the kids (BB's cousins) could see all the lights although it didn't take long to get dark these days! Only went on one ride which was a kids ride with BB and although it was a baby one, I got quite dizzy! Got some candy and Cinder Toffee which is scrumptious to take home with us although I could of easily ate a burger too but resisted! The big floating balloons are a fiver! 88| Hmm.. still got one of course for BB although he's not that interested in it! Arrived home at 8.45pm and pretty knackered!

The next couple of years will be more exciting for BB but also more expensive! Can't say no to his cute face!

  • Guestbook feature on BCUK

    Cool! :D

And only one person signed mine so far - Austin! I read his post and wondered what he was on about but now I know! B)

    Come on.. sign it! ;)

  • Jolly good rant

I was on the way home from the city centre (It wasn't a big shopping trip, I only got Nigella's Express cookbook as well as BB food) and the bus was packed full.

Despite the woman with the chavvy double buggy who was rude to me and said to be a high, angry tone 'I can't get out!' So I tried moving BB right to the side of the bus so she's bloody leave! Fucking bitch! :## But I was also a little embarassed as everyone could here her and were looking at me on the bus!

Anyway, there was a group of three boys I shall say, about my age. They were deliberately taking the piss out of another woman and kept playing an annoying buzzing ringtone all the way home. They were sniggering and making snide remarks about this woman and when they got off, they pulled faces at her in the window.

Even when I told MP this evening, he know's these type of boys and says some students behave that way as lacking life experience and not having jobs :lalala: and the new guys at his work are like that!

  • Crappy Evening!

I went to the shop yesterday evening post 7pm and nattering to my son as per usual.

At one point I said to him 'Have you done a poopy yet!?' as he had not done a dirty nappy all day and two women nearby heard me! 8|

What made the situation worse was one women waved at me and shouting 'Hello!' and I was desperate to cross the road being highly embarassed but the traffic kept coming! And then she waved bye at me when I finally crossed the road!

And poopy is not a word I use often and even I can't believe I said that out loud!

  • Not Vamp enough - Blogthings

Meh to that! I tried!

You Could Not Be a Vampire

Sorry, but you're not just cut out for flesh eating, turning into a bat, and living forever.
But that's okay. The sight of blood turns your stomach... without even thinking of drinking it.
And while you definitely would never be a vampire, you're exactly the type of frail prey Dracula wannabe's crave.
Maybe it's time to arm yourself with a cross and some nasty garlic breath!

What you would like best about being a vampire: The raw power (though you wouldn't admit it to anyone)

What you would like least about being a vampire: The whole killing thing
