  • Present shopping

I got our friend K one of these for his birthday:

    mankini
    (The mankini, not Borat/Sasha Baron-Cohen!)

Hmm.. I am hoping he'll like it but not wear it in front of me and everyone! I should of gone MP one too, but nevertheless! I felt quite embarassed asking for it as it behind some glass cabinet but still grinned and beared it! Least the shop assistant was grinning back! :D

  • Find Me The Face

It had gone 7pm, MP went with BB to see his mum while I was left at home to do the dishes and housework. My decision mind you! ;) I thought I'd leave the dishes to soak for a minute or two and quikcly flicked through the channels to see what was on TV. I ended up watching THIS .

It had gone 8pm and I had realised the sink water had turned disgusting and cold and the house was still a mess! What am I like! I'm too easily distracted!  And the other guy should of won although the winner was cute! :p

  • A Quick Word

Just to say I was annoyed last night because I wanted to watch 'Torchwood' at 9pm but my other half someone wanted to watch the sodding football match, Middlesborough Vs. Shefffield! And it went on until 10.30pm too because of penalty shootouts! *Yawns* It's not like me to talk about football!

  • Out of Pocket

Got a busy weekend ahead of me, Friday we're going bowling with R and BB. They are both just over one years old and their first time going! It will be cute to see them do it! :D

Saturday, we are going shopping for Mother's Day gifts and it's also two people's birthdays as well!

Sunday is Mother's Day, probably will do nothing but I'll try and think of something as it's my day, as well as other mothers across the country! ;D

Thinking about it all makes me a teesy bit annoyed, that I got to get three presents and cards as well as bowling which will cost a bit. I got to go on some of the arcade games with the kids as well as eat! But I got to do all this with f>:XXk all money! >:(

Ah, that is life I suppose!

  • Anyone lost a Chocolate Bar?

On the way home from the shops just now I picked up a Kit Kat Chunky lying in the floor. Still contained in it's wrapper and not broken, still in its wrapper. Sorry I don't normally pick up stuff on the street but I couldn't leave it there, could I! Of course I had a quick look around before but not many people were about.

Well I preume the owner is long gone and is probably starving. I'm not gonna eat it, I don't like them at all or give it to someone else. I couldn't do that to anyone!

Well, now I wish I hadn't picked it up now as I don't know what to do with it! Silly me!

  • The Trick to Life Gig

It was amazing seeing The Hoosiers for real! :D As soon as we got there I headed straight for the front. I am only little so I wanted a good view! Not many people turned up in fancy dress after all but it would have been nice if only my other half would of as well!
The first two acts which lead up to them were J.P. Jones (I think his name was!) and a band called The Script. They were both okay I guess but I noticed the crowd also looked non plussed! The woman next to us asked if she knew who they were to MP but of course we didn't know he replied. Then she kept chatting to MP after that and her female friend kept telling her to 'leave the poor man alone!' :))

I was stood in the second two from the front on the left hand stage which was lucky as when The Hoosiers came on, the lead singer, Irwin was only stood a few feet in front of me! :>> They kept the crowd entertained and near the end they were in fancy dress. There was even a guy in just boxers! 8| I don't know who he was but he wasn't one of the band members!

It was all over by 11pm and I didn't want it to end! :'( Walked home and had some take away from the Indian and we were in bed by 12am! :))

  • The Smoke House

Just been watching a programme on CBBC (BBC2) called 'The Smoke House' where kids go to a house in the middle of nowhere known as 'The Smoke House' and try to persuade their parents to stop smoking.
So far they've shown some of the chemicals that go into a ciggie and the parents had to do an assult course. It#s ironic really they're not allowed to smoke in the premises but they have sneaky cigs outside! :))

It made me think how ironic also, that my Dad smoked a lot for years but quite recently stopped slowly but using those horrid smoking gum. Yes I have tried it and it made my mouth taste horrid! :-/ :)) I've also smoked but not cigs for years but I did have some MJ around this time last year! And for years we also tried to get him to stop smoking, but it was worse in the car! Even Mum didn't like it! But my point is now my brother has been smoking since he was 15 and still is a year on as well as MJ now and again! And our Dad is trying to get him to quit. Like the tables have turned!

Luckily me and MP doesn't either but sometimes I fancy a big, fat cigar! :>>

  • The Big Bang Theory

Was shown last night in Channel Four at 10pm. I never laughed so much in half an hour! I loved a lot of the jokes and how Sheldon talks and shows his dislike to Penny whereas his friend Leonard is trying to score with her so desperately! :)) Can't wait for next week!

  • Friday 5

What five things are you grateful for today and why?

1.) I am grateful for my child's afternoon naps. To catch up on Blog and to eat lunch without him stealing it from me!

2.) For my other half's kiss right before he leaves work. Even if we have an argument in the morning!

    3.) It's almost the weekend!!!

4.) My other half's family, especially his mum.

5.) Blog Friends! (Nicked from Rob! :P) Because you are all good listeners and it's intriguing reading about other people's lives!

  • Today's Consumption

    Breakfast:

2 x tea cakes with butter
    1 Cappuccino
    1 White Coffee

    Lunch:

1 portion left over homemade Spag Bol
    2 x Squares Milk Chocolate

    Dinner (Yet to consume):
    Chicken with Veg and Gravy.

I know I haven't been keeping up with the food blogs but I've been eating oddly the last two days. Not eating so much during the day but I still have a hot meal for dinner. I have no idea why, I'm not too stressed about life of my family but just wary of what I eat and can't help it! :-/

  • What about Today!

I had not realised it was Valentine's Day until I was food shopping earlier this morning and noticed a man buying a bouquet of flowers!

Now I am a little older and wiser, I am getting better at ignoring all the posters and commercialism surrounding today. I was thinking of getting MP something but not seen anything to suit him! :)) This year we both can't be bothered although don't worry, we still love each other. :) Maybe a few years ago when we first went out but things have changed since then. He knows I hate 'tackiness'! Plus, it will be Mother's Day shortly! :>

    Happy Birthday Louisa!
    :D

Hope you have a great day!

  • Guitar Vs. Keyboard

MP and I are seriously considering buying either a keyboard as a piano would be a little expensive right now or a eletric guitar. When we were both young we were both told we had long fingers that would be good to play a piano but we both never did! It would be nice to play an instrument as a hobby, something different and to be me for a change as I channel all my energy in raising BB as well as blogging.

But I we would like a guitar mainly for my love of rock music because MP's brother has one and like to use it.

We seriously need to look in the Argos catalogue or look in the music shops for any of the above shortly to try and find a good make and decent price.

  • Lang Lang

We were watching a documentary on ITV the other night about a chinese guy called Lang lang. Although I have never heard of him I thought he was amazing and very entertaining. I could not believe it when I heard he won the Tchaikovsky International Young Musicians Competition at only 13 years old! I guess it's no suprised considering he'd been playing the piano from three eyars old! I thought it was pretty true what he said about chinese parents being strict and that in China they expect their kids to play violins. Two of my cousins can play the violin and bass and are very good at it.

Considered by the New York Times as the "hottest artist on the classical music planet", 25-year-old Lang Lang has played sold out recital and concerts in every major city in the world and is the first Chinese pianist to be engaged by the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic and all the top American orchestras. He has worked with the world's best orchestras under the most renowned conductors, including Maestros Ashkenazy, Barenboim, Chailly, Sir Colin Davis, Dutoit, Eschenbach, Gergiev, Jansons, Levine, Mehta, Maazel, Welser-Möst, Muti, Nagano, Ozawa, Sir Simon Rattle, Salonen, Slatkin, Temirkanov and Tilson-Thomas.

    Tails. Sonic's sidekick! :)

  • Boo!

I could hear all this clattering from outside nearby and all of a sudden a face appeared! 88|

Why did MP have to put the desk right next to the window where the window cleaner can see me!?

I'm trying to avoid his gaze right now. Lets hope he doesn't have a BCUK account!

  • My Life in Six Words

    Stolen from Sexymf! B)

Ernest Hemingway once won a wager that he could write a story in six words, with the novella: "For sale. Baby shoes. Never worn." I heard this on the radio last week and was struck by the ability a great writer has to sum things up in so few words. It's very evocative, I think.

And then I thought of some six word stories for me. So here are my efforts to date:

Number One - Work: From Now On, It Is Motherhood.

Number Two - Love: This Love Seems To last Forever.

Number Three - Sex: Good For The Body and Soul. ;)

Number Four - Life: Little Girl Facing Big Bad World.

  • Smoothy does it

I woke up this morning after a lovely dream and a full night's sleep and it's put me in a good mood all morning so far! BB got up nice and early and didn't cry as much as usual and now he is asleep again which is unusal as he normally has his afternoon naps after 1pm over the weekend. Which gives mummy much needed catching up on Blog! ;) I haven't had one of these 'good days' for absolutely ages so it feels like. I wondered what I did to deserve this!

The weather has been really nice the past few days and I think I need to wear a lighter coat as I feel blimin' hot! But I love it and can't compplain. I'm looking forward to the summer.

But now I've realised when speaking to MP about The Hoosiers concert in two weeks time, he said he wasn't going in fancy dress in case we want to go to pub afterwards or even before and we'd look stupid. I guess he has a point and think I won't now. I hope another fancy dress opportunity rises. Still, I'm going to 'dress up' and wear a top I have been saving for ages for such an occasion. :>>

  • I'm concerned about myself

I am already turning into a desperate housewife at only 21 years old. 8| Got to stop thinking of men and I nearly wrote another post on Magnús Scheving. Got to get those thoughts of men in lycra out of my head!

  • Playskool/Who's Line Is it Anyway

I've just seen the 'Playskool' advert on TV this morning which featured who I believe was Ryan Stiles from 'Who's Line Is It Anyway?' I was about 13 and I used to stay up late at night to watch the show as well as him! I have no idea why I liked him, maybe is was because he was tall although I can't believe my taste in 'maturer' men went all the way back then. :-/ The joys of puberty!

It's funny as soon as I saw him in the advert those feelings came back! Although I always laugh about those teenage crushses I had and how my taste has changed, in some ways. :D
