A BBC's Life

On Friday night, there was eight of us in total having a meal in a Morocan restaurant and it was one where you could bring your own wine. I lost count how many times the guys went to the shop next door and kept buying the wine! I drank so much Rose. I barfed. I smoked for the first time in over a year and boy, drinking it with wine sure made it taste better! And vice versa. But it was an alright night.

I sure did pay for it with a headache in the morning but least a mouthful of water seemed to cure me and I back to being healthy mummy again. Not like the other half whom was still barfing all day Saturday and I had to clean his effing mess on the living room floor!

Football is pretty dull hence me being here now. I wish I could have a glass of Rose wine now!

I use to watch this on TV a lot few years ago just for pure entertainment. I was just reading about new films including The Wackness which sounds good and also stars Ben Kingsley who's an admirable actor. Anyway, I was suprised to see that Josh lost a lot of weight since his teens and looks even good for his age whereas his co-star Drake just looks far too old for his age, possibly nearly thirty!

I am making myself a little more sad reading all the people who have gone on the Blog Break Blog. Isn't it funny, although I don't know most people here, you can't help but miss the people who were regular users, who have frequently commented and stayed in touched with their friends here and who have opened up their personal lives in their blogs for all the rest of us to see!

Yesterday I got to bed early, just gone 9pm (I don't usually go to bed until midnight) and dreamt that I was walking into a take-away with asian men behind the counter and I was only wearing my red v-neck top and pulled it down to cover mu bum as I wasn't even wearing underwear!

Me. So many reasons but mainly because all Chinese parents want a boy meaning my younger sibling! (I am glad I had a boy though! )

Only if the milk has gone off or ran out!

3. Do you own a Blackberry?
No and I don't want one either!

4. Which black forest would you rather eat - cake or ham?
I love homemade Black Forest Gateau!

5. Have you ever had a black eye?
Not the punched type.

Just looking through some chinese recipes, reminded me of the odd things I have eaten in the past. Including shark gum a few times at a chinese restaurant in Bristol and some sweet Birds Nest dessert brought back from Hong Kong. I wanted to throw it out after my parents had gone but my Dad kept telling me it was expensive it was (about £10 or more for a 50ml bottle!) and yes I cringed a lot while drinking it (not knowing what the contents was as it was in Chinese!) and naturally, I did not want to upset him. I had to drink 10 of them myself too as my other half was such a bloody wimp about it!

If I can think of any other odd things I have had in my lifetime, I might share it. I wonder if anyone else is willing to share theirs and possibly beat that!

I was watching this last night despite being pretty tired at that time. Very similar to the remake of Red Dragon (starring Ralph Fiennes, Edward Norton and Anthony Hopkins) although I bet they copied this original. It was good still although I was not keen on some of the music and wish I remember the song when Dollarhyde tries to kill Reba! The ending was less corny shall I say, compared to the recent remake and left a bit of mystery of why Dollarhyde was psychotic. Note to self - must read the book sometime!

Just been looking at the new Design Wizard that Landers spoke about and looks very simple apart from the CSS tab. Hmm.. I don't want to go there. The other half knows a lot about this stuff, seeing as it's his job. Maybe I should learn about this and join his company. Maybe not. I know if we worked together we would drive each other insane! Trust me, I have learnt from observing my parents running their own business but somehow they manage.

I was going to write a long post about my father but I just want to simply say that he has taught me a lot, shaped a fair bit of my personality and I don't know what I'd do without him. It has not always been good, especially as a teenager, but things are a lot better now and I have matured a little more since then!

I just phoned one of the two Dolce and Gabbana store's on London enquiring the David Gandy 2008 calendar and was speaking very fast, mainly because if anyone has seen it, it is quite erm.. graphic and so this makes me more nervous! The lady on the other line not only said she didn't understand what I was saying as I was tripping on my words but also the only way to get the calendar is to buy it in store! You can't get it online - not through them anyway! Feck!

I have looked online for one, mainly on eBay but not so sure to get it as I'm not sure if it the real deal and makes me wonder how much do I really want it!

Am looking forward to going out tonight with the other half. Usually we go out with friends but this time it's just the two of us for a change and it has been a while! Booked a Italian restaurant and already have in mind what I'd like to eat! Plus I heard they do olives in oil which is one of my fave foods so something to looking forward to! I even brought a cute black dress to go with my shoes I brought last week just for tonight/him!

Not sure how long we will be out. I want to go out drinking but then again I like to go home early and perhaps watch the Borat Movie a brother-in-law lent us! We'll see!

I don't get how this is a Fail?
I mean some people who look after babies suck on dummies for many reasons such as it being dropped on the ground or in my mother-in-law's case, plays a game with it with her grandkids! (I usually wash it under the tap, I am not keen myself on dummies! )

I guess it depends which perspective you see the photo from. I could be that some might see Britney is a bad parent or the child is too old for the dummie! Or simply because she's too old for a dummie herself! (That makes me a fail then too! )

Has anyone seen that M&S (Marks and Spencers) clothes advert which features a few stars/models including Twiggy and Myleene Klass?

My sister-in-law pointed out how trim Myleene's belly was despite only having a child a few months ago! I know she was in the news a few weeks ago about how he lost masses amount of weight after her pregancy to what she said was due to 'breastfeeding' but she did look too slim (to me) then!

I mean, come on. I still have my 'mummy tummy' over a year and a half later and I am in no rush to lose the weight particularly in that area! I still do some excercise but I don't strive to be slim. And all the mums I know in my life whether it be friends and family do too! But some women's belly seem to go back to normal in no time! Lucky them I guess!

Just like men too. I think Real Men to me are those who watch football, drink alcohol and eat plenty like my other half. Some have bellies and don't really care about their body image as much. Again, some of the guys I know in real life fit this. MY OH has put on quite a bit of weight since I first met him but he's healthier now and is still lovely! Okay I admit to drooling over nicely defined trim male celebs now and again but then perhaps, they could be seen as lacking personality or in other areas!? Plus, I'll never hook up with one for real, even if I wanted to!
