I have just been looking at Chinese Art on the net and suddenly felt a sense of nostalgia and remembered a few years ago my Dad took me and my little brother to Shaftesbury to go to a Chinese Calligraphy Class which was on late in the evening as I remember it being dark and the teacher was a friend's friend. Anyway I can't remember doing much painting but I do remember it being very difficult despite it looking easy when you see the pictures.
I think lately I have realised I have become too Westernized and although I know I have always been like that, there is a small part of me who still recognised I am still Chinese! Probably why I want to go back to my roots and learn Chinese again. And I want that for my son too. I want him to realise that too, especially when he grows up!
And the title translates to "White Devil" meaning 'Westernized'.

I hear what you are saying! And the funny thing is China will be huge in a couple of years and there seems be a lot of China related programmes on TV lately, probably due to the Olympic Games due in 3 days!!!
I love chineese art. We sell some chinese art materials and books in our shop.
Love the pictures in the books.
